(Al Qamar) 54 : 24
فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِنَّا وَاحِدًا نَتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ
Then they asked: Do we follow a man from among us; indeed if so we will be in stray and insane.
Swalih who had been deputed to Thamood people as Messenger warned about the consequence of their misguided life by quoting the history of destroyed people passed before. Then the chief of Thamood people told their followers that if we are following a strayed and insane man, we would also become strayed and insane people.
